Aims and Scope

The Journal of Biochemicals and Phytomedicine is an international, peer-reviewed, Open Access journal that serves as a premier platform for disseminating high-impact research at the intersection of plant-based science, modern technology, and therapeutic discovery. The journal is dedicated to advancing the scientific understanding of bioactive compounds from natural sources, from their fundamental characterization to their application in medicine and industry.

The journal welcomes submissions in the form of Original Research Articles, Review Articles, Short Communications, Letters to the Editor, Perspectives, and Editorials. These publications cover a broad spectrum of topics within the journal's scope, including:

  • Ethnobiology and Traditional Medicine: Integrating ethnobotany, ethnopharmacology, and ethnomedicine to validate and explore traditional knowledge through a modern scientific lens.
  • Phytochemistry and Natural Product Chemistry: The isolation, structural elucidation, biosynthesis, and analytical profiling of bioactive compounds derived from plants and other natural sources.
  • Pharmacology and Toxicology: Pre-clinical and clinical evaluation of the therapeutic efficacy, mechanisms of action, and safety profiles of natural products and herbal medicines.
  • Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Discovery: Leveraging natural compounds as lead molecules for the design, synthesis, and development of new pharmaceutical agents.
  • Biotechnology and Nanotechnology: Applying biotechnological tools (e.g., metabolic engineering, tissue culture) and nanoscale platforms to enhance the production, delivery, and efficacy of biochemicals and phytomedicines.
  • Biochemistry and Chemical Biology: Investigating the molecular interactions and biochemical pathways of natural compounds within biological systems.

The journal upholds the highest standards of scientific rigor through a stringent peer-review process, ensuring that all published work contributes significantly to the advancement of its field. We welcome submissions from scientists and researchers worldwide who are pushing the boundaries of knowledge in the quest for sustainable and effective health solutions.
